phunkyBento is open for orders 24/7.

We endeavour to process all orders within 24 hours of receipt of payment (subject to availability).

Our office hours are 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). We will respond to any queries as soon as possible, usually within 1-2 business days.

All prices are shown in NZD and include GST.

Payment options available:

Debit / Credit Card - via our shopify payments system accepting most major credit cards including Apple Pay.

Poli Payments - Pay online using your Internet Banking, a great alternative to credit & debit cards when you're purchasing online. Poli provide a quick, secure & free payment option by connecting you to your bank. You do not need to register - just follow the prompts when you go to pay.

Buy Now, Pay Later - We offer buy now, pay later options with two third party providers:

LAYBUY - 6 weekly payments

AFTERPAY - 4 fortnightly payments

These providers allow you to receive your online purchase now and spread the total cost over equal weekly or fortnightly automatic payments. Interest Free.

Simply select your preferred payment provider at checkout. Returning customers only need to confirm the order to complete the purchase. New customers can sign up at checkout. Your order is processed immediately and your payment schedule is established.

There is NO MINIMUM SPEND on our website, and includes both sale and clearance items too!



LAYBUY and AFTERPAY are a service which is totally independent to phunkyBento. Your payment obligations are to LAYBUY or AFTERPAY through the account that you have set up with them. Should you have any questions regarding your LAYBUY or AFTERPAY account please contact them directly as we are not able to assist you. Full terms and conditions can be found on their websites.



If we know we have products arriving in the near future we like to give you the opportunity to pre-order them so you don't miss out when they arrive.  Payment is required at the time of pre-order. When the product arrives we will send it out with any other products that were in your order. If you require the other goods sooner, please place a separate order and they will be shipped out immediately. We put an estimate of the arrival date on the website, however sometimes things change and delays occur which are out of our control.  Likewise, sometimes they arrive earlier.

It means everything to us that you are thrilled with your purchase, so please get in touch immediately if there are any problems with your order –

We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of quality and service, and in the very unlikely event that an error or fault exists with your order then please contact us within 3 working days of delivery. Advise us of your concerns and we will endeavour to rectify (if appropriate) in a timely and professional manner.

Please choose your items carefully.  All Bento boxes have their dimensions clearly stated - returns or exchanges are not available because you have changed your mind. However, if you receive your order and it is not suitable for your needs, please get in touch asap and we may be able to organise a store credit.

Please note - Refunds are not available for a change of mind. Only store credit will be offered.

We do not allow returns for Sale items or Gift Cards.

Please note – to return a product it must be unused and in all the original, unopened, undamaged packaging. We reserve the right to deny any returns if these guidelines are not followed.

If your order has been damaged in transit, please let us know immediately (and no longer than within 3 working days of arrival) so that we can get in touch with the courier company to sort out any claims.

phunkyBento will refund or exchange items that are faulty or incorrect. Please contact us within 3 working days to advise of a fault.  We will provide a return address for you to send it back.  Faulty goods must be returned to us within 10 working days of when you notify us.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you on the status of your return, and exchange, refund or credit in full if approved.   Please include your return shipping receipt so we can also reimburse the return shipping cost (only if a fault is found).  

We will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.


We do not guarantee our products for issues related to wear and tear including rips, spills, scratches, chips, mould, fading, stains and odour.

Please keep in mind that although our products are designed for children, they are not indestructible.



We use Courier Post for all our shipping needs.

Canterbury - $6.00

Rest of South Island - $8.50

North Island - $9.50


All orders are tracked door to door and typically take 1-3 working days (Rural extra) once picked up for delivery. Bear in mind that these services operate during the weekday and do not require a signature on delivery. Please keep this in mind when providing a valid NZ address.

We DO deliver to PO Boxes and Rural Addresses at no extra cost.

Please note that delivery times are ‘target’ delivery times and can sometimes take longer to reach its destination.

If you live in the Canterbury region and would prefer to pick up from us in Pegasus, there is a ‘Local Pickup’ option available to you at checkout.

Flat Rate $25.00

We use NZ Post International Air for all shipping to Australia. This service has limited tracking and no signature is required for delivery. This service typically takes 3-10 working days, however this is a ‘target’ delivery time and can sometimes take longer to reach its destination.

Any duties and taxes incurred on international deliveries are your responsibility.

PLEASE NOTE – due to Covid-19 and current restricted flights, deliveries may take considerably longer to reach their destination. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

We have currently suspended shipping outside of New Zealand and Australia until further notice. Our sincere apologies.
